About me
I’m a qualified Integrative Counsellor with a multicultural background and a deep appreciation for the diverse experiences that shape who we are. Counselling, for me, is a natural continuation of a life shaped by curiosity, creativity, and compassion. It’s not just what I do — it’s who I am becoming.
I came to counselling through my own journey of self-reflection and healing, which led me to a deeper understanding of how powerful it can be to feel truly heard and met with care. This experience continues to shape how I work — with honesty, compassion, and respect for each person’s unique story.
My Background
I grew up in Poland during a time of profound social and economic change. My childhood moved between countryside, town, and city, giving me an early awareness of how different environments shape us and how people adapt to shifting circumstances. These experiences nurtured my sensitivity to transition, identity, and belonging — themes that continue to guide my work today.
In the early 2000s, I moved to the UK, where I lived, studied, worked, and raised my family. Over the years, I found myself moving between many different communities — creative, professional, immigrant, and long-established families — each offering its own perspectives on resilience, relationships, and the complexity of human experience. These encounters gradually deepened my interest in people and the stories they carry.
This growing curiosity eventually led me to psychology and, later, to counselling. I completed a degree in Psychology followed by an MSc, and I am now training as a counsellor at the Life-Force School of Counselling in Colchester while gaining clinical experience through placement. My diverse background — personal, cultural, and professional — informs a practice grounded in openness, respect, and a belief in our capacity for growth and change.
My Training
I qualified through completing a three-and-a-half-year training in Integrative Counselling at the Life-Force School of Counselling in Colchester. The programme unfolded at a deliberate pace and could not be rushed, allowing space for learning, reflection, and personal growth to develop alongside clinical understanding. The course was grounded in a humanistic, relational, and client-led ethos, with a strong focus on therapeutic presence, meaning-making, and the centrality of the therapeutic relationship.
Rather than aligning with a single theoretical model, the training encouraged an integrative way of thinking, drawing from humanistic, existential, psychodynamic, cognitive, and behavioural approaches. Alongside academic learning, equal importance was placed on personal development, self-awareness, and reflective practice, recognising that the counsellor’s inner work is inseparable from their professional practice.
Through dialogue with tutors and peers, personal development work, and clinical placement, theory and lived experience gradually came together. The training supported not only the development of clinical understanding, but also profound personal growth, shaping an evolving, relational approach to counselling that continues to be informed by reflection, experience, and values.

- Anxiety or feeling constantly on edge
- Low mood, sadness, or a sense of flatness
- Stress, overwhelm, or difficulty coping
- Low self-esteem or not feeling “good enough”
- Relationship struggles or repeating old patterns
- Experiences of trauma, past or recent
- Childhood wounds that still affect life today
- Questions around identity or finding your sense of self
- Life changes, transitions, or feeling stuck
- Loss, grief, or the impact of change
- Immigration experiences, cultural pressures, or feeling between worlds
- Feelings of shame, guilt, or self-criticism
- Addictive or compulsive behaviours
- Loneliness, disconnection, or feeling unseen
You may not have the exact words for what you’re feeling yet — and that’s okay. Together, we can explore your experiences with curiosity and compassion, at a pace that feels right for you.
